George Smith Jr.

George is the Community Service Chair for the Younger Member Group and a Design Engineer at BenchMark Management LLC in Downtown Atlanta specializing in both wastewater and transportation. He works on a variety of transportation and wastewater projects mainly for the City of Atlanta and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. George earned his Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction Technology from Norfolk State University in 2016. Additionally, George earned his Master’s degree in project management at Colorado Technical University in 2021. Outside of ASCE, George loves to travel, spend time with family and friends and drawing. Not only is George extremely passionate about servicing communities and the people of the communities, but he is passionate about making an impact on the world.
